this isn't bad at all dude, got a pretty nice flow throughout the whole song. very simple playing, but shit don't need to be complicated to kick ass. well played, a solid performance. drums are pretty awesome, and again, good job on the eq. the mixing sounds really good as well.

vocals aren't flawless, but they're decent. you don't need a singer, you just need practice. you sound pretty hesitant, you need to practicing giving your vocals more power. try getting some distance to the mic, and don't doubt your abilities. this is still a good start.

lyrics are a bit repetitive for my taste, but pretty cool nonetheless. good song dude, i enjoyed it. keep it up \m/

Ryan-of-the-Metal responds:

I only planed a few lines of the lyrics, and you're right, I'm very hesitant, and I was right up against the thing lol, you have good intuition, Schleif. I may have another person sing with me, and we harmonize, or I'll sing backup or something, but I may continue singing, it's going to take time as you said.

This isa repetitive song, indeed, it only took me a few seconds to come up with the riffs, which were also relatively unplanned, the drums and bass I spent the most time on. Apparently, Audacity has a tone altering device that allows you to change the tones of crap so they're a different pitch, I may use more of that in the future. \m/

this works for sure. some crackling and stuff, as you mentioned, but nothing really bad. sounds cool, bonus points for playing on bass guitar haha

pretty cool stuff, really like the screamish vocals. while your cleans sound pretty decent, they lack power. personally, i'd get some distance to the mic and just let it all out, haha. some quality issues, sounds slightly muffled, but nothing too serious. i'd turn down the vocals slightly though, as they kind of drown the mix. really like your style though, badass 'n brutal. lyrics are pretty cool as well. great work all in all, but still room for improvements. keep it up \m/

Pure-Metal-UTA responds:

I haven't tried to stand back from the mic and burst it out, and I've been told that before too. I don't know why I haven't tried it before though. Maybe I should try it out.
I do notice that when I try to sing cleans and let it out, my voice cracks retardedly easy, and it can ruin the song completely... so with more practice I should be blaring into the mic soon enough haha.
I'm really glad you liked it though, and yeah the vocals can be overpowering, but also at times, especially with some of the high growl parts, the vocals can be underwhelming and indistinguishable.

Thanks for the review! Glad you liked the song!

pretty cool, some issues with the eq and mixing, but well played. pretty badass riffage, sounds good. i like it, keep it up \m/

AttackTh3Radical responds:

Explain what you mean by eq and mixing problems? I don't know a whole lot about that process. But thanks a lot!

not bad, i like what you've got here. your tone is very raw, which is something of a double-edged sword in this case - while the rhythm is chugging and brutal, it kind of muffles your leads. still, i really like the riffs, great playing. the piano seems a bit inappropriate in my opinion, but it's still pretty cool, and adds to the variation. while unpolished, the solo is quite enjoyable as well. great job all in all, keep up the good work!

METALkiDofEArTH08 responds:

Thanks. Yea like I said not got EQ'ing down perfect yet, working on it though! You have to really know what you're doing and what you want in Audacity because you can't playback while EQing... waiting to get Pro Tools, then we'll be in gear!
